What is the meaning of Scheduling?

The term scheduling is used in different contexts in business. In general, it describes the implementation of internal demand management and procurement organisation. Scheduling thus plays a role in procurement, production, financing, HR and logistics.

Traditional scheduling activities are planned activities, such as classification, distribution and sorting. To put it simply, it is about having the right goods in the right quantity, at the right time in the right quality at the right place .

In maintenance, for example, technicians are scheduled and the assignment of orders and technicians is organised in this manner.

At WERKBLiQ, scheduling is supported by using a modern disposition board. The maintenance manager can see here which of their colleagues are currently busy doing what, can assign orders and view the processing status. For more information please click here.

WERKBLiQ digitalises and networks machine operators, manufacturers and distributors.
